Adventure finale, woot! 🎉

Their rest is cut short, for they discover the situation on the island is turning more and more turbulent. They pick up the pace and quickly finish constructing their makeshift rafts.

Something's definitely going on there. An unnatural storm is radiating from the island. Black thunderbolts shoot from the earth and magical tendrils lash out violently. Even though they are on the other side, they feel the chill of magic biting into their bones. It is worsening by the passing moment.
But what's causing all of this?

The squad gets on the water and the lake is in turmoil. The waves are crashing over each other.

They board their rafts driven by determination.
It is their strength and willpower versus nature's raw powers. ⇾ #WECANDOIT

It looks fine at the beginning, but once they reach midway, the tide turns against them, shattering the improvised rafts and the ravenous waves swallow them all.

Waking to the feeling of water filling their lungs, Ūmtar uncontrollably coughs and retches in an attempt to regain the ability to breathe. As the convulsions subside, realizes that they are out of the water. This is not the boggy shore they came from. Looking around, Ūmtar sees the others as well. The only problem is that all of them are bound tightly to a rock.

Further observing their surroundings, Ūmtar spots a stone cabinTent right next to the raging Source. These Sources are anomalous torrents of energy scattered throughout the Depths. The very thing they search to gain enough power to conquer the surface.

Beside the cabin a huge pile is being built by humanoid-shaped figuresMinions. A pile of corpsesMountain. One of these figures gets closer to them, allowing Ūmtar to make a closer inspection. Indeed, the thing looks similar to their kin of elves, humans, dwarves, butRevelation it also has webbed hands and feet. Its face resembles the head of a newt's and its teeth are all pointy and jutting out in every direction imaginable.
Just what have we gotten ourselves into? - Ūmtar thinks.

The ropes are tied firmly, it takes more than just muscle to get rid of them. Ūmtar decides to stop, not to bring too much attention to them with the struggling.

While the creatures are busy stacking corpses, Iax having broken free, strives to untie as many of their own as possible, hidden behind the protection of the shadows.

Shrouded in darkness, Iax miraculously manages to untie nearly all of the squad members.

A freed mage in the group senses that the cause of this magical disturbance is originating from that foreboding building.
The Source is at unrest due to something in that building Iax!
After a brief discussion, they decide to make a distraction so that Iax can sneak past the deformities and see to the root of the magical turmoil.

I know, I'm gruesome lol. Iax sees the elf intermittently quivering and having rapid eye movements.
On getting a clearer view, Iax realizes that some kind of a strange moldAmoeba, Obedient disease
from Scene 6 setup is blooming on the elf's brain. It covers the brain like a translucent veil, reaching deep inside the grooves.
Dark sparkles zigzagElectrocution cap throughout the mycelium in a mezmerizing manner. It seems to react to the waves of energySatellite coming from the Source.

Upon this sight, Iax slits the unconscious elf's throat without thinking twice. As the captive bleeds out, the magical storm starts to noticeably get calmer.

By this time the noises of combat have ceased too. Leaving the room, Iax is welcomed by Ūmtar and the other squad members who triumphantly dealt with the freaks.
